LOW COST HOUSING

The 40-acre scheme is subdivided into 1/4 of an acre plots retaining the existing households in their area. Two typologies are then created for the two neighbourhoods, creating distinct urban typologies.

Green spaces are established between the clusters enhancing the visual appeal of the neighbourhood and promoting natural ventilation and daylighting for each of the 3,600 units, making the units humane and habitable. Each cluster created is accessed by footpaths with their parking spaces located at the periphery encouraging residents to walk thereby promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The lower section of the neighbourhood abutting the river is landscaped for relaxation and gaming activities, respectively, making the neighbourhood lively.
